Welcome to my RIPPLE!
Finding order in chunks of knowl3dge and information
has proven to be an exercise that [in my case] spans over more them a decade...
This launching page has proven to be a valuable startingpoint, from which I share my experiences in the fields of art, design and business. If you decide to follow the cluetrain that will lead you down into the rabbit-hole
of visualization and its possibilities, I urge you to consider this before diving deep:
© 2010 VISIBLE THINKING
I have been moving around
my blog to different places, to try out ways of getting into the routine of blogging and creating content that is relevant enough to view. I am at the dawn of one more move, but for now, check out www.visiblethinking.nl for my personal thoughts...
...is the place where I get to play, think, work and socialize. It also happens to be my own company! If you are in a jam and you can find us... the J-TEAM will solve your problem!
One of the best ways to understand a field of interest is to analyze its practitioners... This cluelink will lead you to a field of people who offer their rendering services (sketching) to help others to communicate or think.
VIZTHINK is an initiative where business practitioners with visual deliverables discuss their common ground and talk about the next steps in using visualization as a thinking tool. check out the website on www.vizthink.nl
My ambition lies in telling a couple of stories in such a way that they motivate change or inspire action. But first I have some gathering to do... Here are some of my threads:
By the use of a seemingly absurd mythical goal of gathering 4000+ stories, people are moving into action! Check www.ioalumni.nl
For 3 year now I have been fortunate enough to be invited by “Rijkswaterstaat” to think about the value of our highways in relation to their main function and its contribution to its local areas. How can the highway become a “place to be?”
Po Chih Tsai has graduated as a master in industrial Design. He has deconstructed the magical thing that happends when people draw in sessions and has indentified some of the cornerstones of a future frame for the visual practitioner. Click his name!
To explain the importance and inevitability of our human transformation is like trying to explain religion... if you understand and can play with the source...you are comfortable enough to move on to the next step. Check out www.humanfoundation.nl
Science has a nack for being hard to understand. Why? Because Scientists have an academic language in which they need to be precise and absolute. Otherwise their postulation wouldn’t have any merrit. But any scientific venture eventually ends up as something that serves mankind... so at some point a scientsit needs to simplify his or her story to the essential point and its use while not mistaking proof of concept as arguments for their case!
It is time to keep it simple and try to explain extremely difficult matters into simple sharable chuncks that connect to the market and its prosumers.
I have met someone who does exactly that... in text.
Will keep you posted on the developing simplifications!
Open Innovation... I will say and sketch more on this soon!
