10th of January 2010- in order for people to get a grip on the idea and pratice of visual thinking, I have gathered some clues that can help you get started. Just one little piece of advice before you click... Visual thinking is a very broad subject matter in which some people have found a lucrative niche. These links by no means represent ONE truth. They are all perspectives of different people in different parts of the world. I have tried to give a broad path of clues so you will hopefully end up with a perspective of your own.


On the left there is the Dutch Clue Trail, below england and Germany and on the right I have clustered some visual ambassadors together, who mainly practice in the United States. On the fare right there are some companies and institutions plus some visual databases... I still need to cluster them.

One of the reasons I am putting these clues out into the open like this is to try and create a visual landscape of the people who are driven by vistual thinking and the way it is defined within their own context.

VIZTHINK.com is a Stateside effort to define and mobilize the visual industry. What I have noticed though is that there are subtle (and less subtle) differences in the way we look at visual thinking around the globe. Mapping the practitioners and the thinkers will hopefully uncover those differences...
